Since I was working on a dating system for my scientific notations, I thought I'd post this up here. I propose the following date system be used.
FORMAT = PF.WEEK.DAY.YEAR
PF = post-Planetfall
Week 1 Alpha Drop (November 2014 Game)
Week 2 Beta Drop (January 2015 Game)
Week 3 Gamma Drop (March 2015 Game)
Week 4 Delta Drop (May 2015 Game)
Week 5 NO DROP (Summer break had two weeks between games, IC time)
Week 6 Epsilon Drop (Sept 2015 Game)
Week 7 Zeta Drop (Nov 2015 Game, assuming there is a pod drop)
Weeks are presumed to start on Saturdays (because that's the first day we landed). So Dates would be the following;
Sat = 1
Sun = 2
Mon = 3
Tues = 4
Weds = 5
Thurs = 6
Fri = 7
According to this chronological system, the very first date anyone was on the Planet would be PF1.1.1 The Saturday in which Volker kicked my ass at Poker would be PF6.1.1.
(This upcoming game, Saturday November 7th real time would be PF.7.1.1 etc.)
Thoughts? This would help standardize notation on Colony records and provide a way to start keeping calendars of significant dates. Tagging people who love notes. @Penelope-Drake, @Jael-Strauss .
