It could be a build up of gasses, we should also check and see if there are still eggs in the blood of those of us who were infected.
I vaguely remember nicking my hand on a sharp stone when I went to stand up after sitting on the ground. So that might be how I was infected.
We are working on making a sanitation solution. Another precaution, besides washing hands and food, would be diligence in covering or sealing cuts and wounds.
As well as checking for the eggs in the blood stream as a regular course after somebody is wounded.
We should also study the eggs to see if we could come up with a safe way to neutralize them in the blood before they hatch.
