Since it looks like I might have to live with only intermittent use of my left eye due to the neurological effects of the parasitic infection I seem to have contracted (Medinan diseases, I'm 2/2) I was wondering if you science-y/doctor-y types might be able to help me fashion an eye-patch or lens that augments and protects the remaining sight in that eye?

I'm sick of banging into things with the reduced depth perception and if there's a way to bypass the bad optical nerve and processing clusters that might help me get back to my usual tasks with my prior efficiency.
